Promo codes allow you to offer targeted discounts to your golfers when they reserve tee times through your CourseRev (CR) Web Portal. Whether you are running a seasonal marketing campaign, offering early-bird specials, or rewarding loyal players, promo codes help boost online conversions.

⚡ POS Integration Requirement: Promo Code management is currently available for golf courses integrated with Lightspeed.

Step-by-Step: How to Create a New Promo Code

  1. Navigate to the Promo Codes page from your dashboard's main menu.

  2. Click the New Promo Code button at the top of the page.

  3. A pop-up window will appear. Fill out the following configuration fields:

  • Code Name: Enter the exact text phrase golfers will type at checkout (e.g., SUMMER2026 or WELCOME10).

  • Discount Type: Choose how the discount is calculated:

    • Percentage: A percentage reduction off the total cost (e.g., 15% off).

    • Fixed Amount: A flat monetary deduction (e.g., $10 off).

  • Discount Value: Enter the numerical amount corresponding to your chosen discount type.

  • Applied To: Define the scope of the discount:

    • Per Booking: Applies the discount once to the overall reservation total.

    • Per Player: Applies the discount individually to each golfer included in the booking.

  • Total Usage Limit: Set the maximum number of times this code can be redeemed across all customers before it automatically expires.

  • Expiry Date: Select the last day the promo code can be redeemed at checkout.

  • Status: New promo codes are set to Active by default. You can switch the status to Disabled if you want to set up a campaign in advance without making it live immediately.

  1. Click Save to create the code.

Sharing & Redemption

Once a promo code is created and set to Active, you can share it with your golfers via email newsletters, social media, or flyers.

Golfers simply enter the code into the promo field during checkout on your CourseRev Web Portal, and the system automatically calculates and applies their discount before payment.

Managing Existing Promo Codes

The Promo Codes main page serves as your central table for auditing and managing all promotional offers.

  • Search Bar: Quickly locate specific codes by typing the code name into the search box.

  • Status Filter: Filter your table view by Active or Disabled codes to quickly review current running promotions versus past campaigns.

  • Table Actions:

    • ✏️ Edit: Modify settings for existing codes, such as extending the expiry date or raising the total usage limit.

    • 🔄 Enable / Disable: Toggle a code on or off at any time to temporarily suspend or reactivate a promotion.

    • 🗑️ Delete: Permanently remove obsolete promo codes from your table.
